Thursdays are dog days!
There are 5 more days of first grade. Thursday for Andrew is art day. Today will be his last art day and he’s a little disappointed about that, but we’ve signed him up for extracurricular art classes this summer and he’s really excited about that.
Well, we can read a map!
One of the first doodles I did was animals as pirates. I got the inspiration for this one from the original drawing, which Andrew still displays on his bookshelf.

My friend and fellow lunchbox artist Caron (check out her site) asked me if this one was inspired by Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Maybe indirectly; I was definitely reminded of the wizard chess scene when I drew this.

I have a set of double-twenty dominoes at my house. The boys have been playing with them all week. This is more than 200 dominoes, and there have been fights about brothers knocking some down before the queues are all set up. Sometimes it’s by accident. Sometimes… not.
I’m not really thrilled about the quality of how this one came out. I had to restart it twice. Now, it’s a poor craftsman who blames his tools, but I am definitely over-due for some new pens. perhaps I’ll go get more today during my lunch break.

I think that this would be a disappointing scenario for a knight. From what I surmise, putting on all of that armor takes a lot of effort. I envision that I could find a cow under much easier circumstances and with a lot less work.
